“The annual dinner has become an important event in everybody’s calendar as it provides us with an opportunity to take time out, meet and socialise with each other. Year 2009 was special for all of us at Qatargas. We should all be very proud for our achievements as there were successes in every corner of the company,” He said.
Mr. Al Suwaidi noted that the unprecedented success and growth of the company during the past year is not a guarantee for success in future. “We need to be more committed to achieve the company’s vision of becoming the World’s Premier LNG Company by 2015. And I know I can count on your support,” he told the employees.

The glittering event offered four hours of fun, fete and entertainment to the audience who were held spellbound by some stunning performances of a French acrobats team, ‘Les Pasages’, amused by Arabic-speaking Korean comedian Wonho Chung, and mesmerised by Fractal music band from Chile who played fusion music involving Arab, African, Asian, South American and Western music and equipment.
The evening included a sumptuous feast reflecting the 54 nationalities that make Qatargas the success it is today. There was a special CEO awards for Qatargas’ employees who had performed outstandingly during 2009.
